The social aspect of parish life is very important at Christ Church.
Each Sunday, parishioners and visitors are encouraged to stay for morning tea following both morning services.
On special occasions, such as observed feast days, there is special morning tea and supper after Evensong.
Tartan Sunday is celebrated at Christ Church, where, after each service, scotch and shortbread may be found in the parish hall.
Other annual traditions include the Patronal Festival followed by Parish Lunch, celebrating Mothering Sunday with simnel cake distribution, and Shrove Tuesday pancake tea.
